Berhampur, Sept 8 (LocalWire): A Ganjam based organization on Tuesday distributed smartphones to as many as 17 girl students of an undergrad degree course in order to help them with their online classes.
Yashoda Foundation, the Ganjam based organization, distributed the smartphones to the students who do not have such gadgets to undertake their online education in Yashoda Degree College, managed by the foundation.
“We have seen some of the needy students could not take up their online classes due to the lack of smartphones.
We have decided to provide them such phones to continue their online education,” said the Chairman of the foundation, Govind Panda.
As many as 122 students are studying in the four-year-old college.
“We will provide another three smartphones and three-month data recharge to the other three students soon,” he said. One of the donors has provided funds for the purpose, he added.
