Bhubaneswar, Aug 26 (LocalWire): Breaking all previous records, Odisha recorded a total of 3371 fresh cases of Coronavirus in the latest round of sample testing.
The highest spike could be attributed to the higher number of cases recorded in Khurda and Cuttack districts.
While Khurda district reported the highest of 547 new cases, it was followed by Cuttack district which saw 357 new cases.
All the 30 districts reported the new cases. Out of the new cases detected, a total of 2053 cases were from quarantine and 1318 cases were from local contacts.
The state has been able to test a total of 14,85,167 samples till now while it is also home to 27,638 active cases. It has also seen 59,470 recoveries.
Some other districts which reported more cases included-Ganjam (196 cases), Jajpur (173), Sundergarh (154) and Raygada (146).
