Bhubaneswar, Aug 31 (LocalWire): The new cases of Coronavirus Monday saw a slight dip as a total of 2602 cases were reported from across the state.
The State Information and Public Relations Department today said that out of the new cases 1561 cases are from quarantine but 1041 cases are from local contacts.
The dip in cases could be attributed to the less number of cases reported from districts which had started reporting higher cases in the last one week like Raygada and Mayurbhanj.
The highest cases were reported from Khurda district which saw 616 new cases while it was followed by Cuttack which saw 236 new cases.
A total of 30 districts reported the new cases.
With the addition of the new cases, the total reported cases in the state touched 1,03,536.
The state government reported a total of 17,89,433 testing of samples till now.
The state has now a total of 29,758 active cases and a total of 73,233 recoveries too.
