Bhubaneswar, Sept 25 (LocalWire): The State Health and Family Welfare Department today said that it has seen a total of 15 more Coronavirus deaths in the state in the latest round of sample testing.
With the addition of the new deaths, the total toll owing to the infection touched 767.
“Regret to inform the demise of fifteen COVID19 positive patients while under treatment in hospitals,” the department said in a statement.
The new deaths were reported from nine different districts. Khurda district reported the highest of four Coronavirus deaths.
Other districts which reported the new Coronavirus deaths included-Puri (3 deaths), Cuttack (1), Mayurbhanj (1), Kandhamal (1), kendrapara (1), Bolangir (1) and Angul (1).
Most of the deceased were elderly and living with comorbidities.
The youngest among the deceased was a 45-year-old patient from Mayurbhanj district with no comorbidities.
