Bhubaneswar, April 3 (LocalWire): Customs officials have seized over 278 grams of undeclared gold from two passengers from Bangkok at the airport here, an official said on Wednesday.
The accused had arrived here in an Air Asia flight from Bangkok on Tuesday night.
The seized gold is worth more than Rs.9 lakh.
According to a customs official, the detained persons are from West Bengal and Jharkhand.
“The metal was in the shape of rings concealed beneath the garment buttons. The recovered gold is 99.9 percent pure,” he added.
