Bhubaneswar, Feb 16 (LocalWire) Residents of Odisha’s Cuttack and Bhubaneswar cities woke up on Saturday to sudden rainfall with strong winds.
Normal life was hit in the two cities due to this sudden weather change.
According to reports, school and office-goers had a tough time making it to their respective destinations on time amid rains that affected vehicular traffic.
The Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar had issued rain alert till 8.30 am for Gajapati, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Khurda, Cuttack, Kandhamal and Kalahandi districts.
On Friday, the Met predicted some districts in Odisha are likely to experience thunder and rain due to cyclonic circulation in the next two days.
Rains are likely in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Balangir and Nuapada districts, said the weather experts.
The Met said intense fog condition is expected in some areas of Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Cuttack, Kendrapada, Jajpur and Bhadrak.
