Puri, July 10 (LocalWire): The chariots of the holy Trinity took ‘Dakshina Moda’, (turned south, facing the Jagannath temple) ahead of Bahuda Yatra, as per rituals, today.
The unique ritual, as per holy rites, takes place on the seventh day from Hera Panchami, two days prior to the Bahuda Yatra.
While Lord Balabhadra’s Taladhwaja and Devi Subhadra’s Darpadalan were placed near the Nakachana Dwara (eastern gate of Gundicha Temple) last night, Dakshina Moda ritual of Lord Jagannath’s Nandighosha was held today morning.
However, with the southward turn of the chariots, the preparation of the trinity’s Bahuda Jatra has been scheduled on 12 July.
With only two days left for Bahuda Yatra, the devotees arrived at the Grand Road to witness the holy Trinity’s departure ritual.
