Bhubaneswar, Sept 22 (LocalWire): The state government has mandated the setting up of a 24*7 help desk within a week in every COVID-19 facility in the state in order to provide information to the family of the COVID-19 patient.
Each help desk will function round the clock and have a dedicated toll-free number.
The help desk will use social media to communicate the voice and pictures of the patient to the attendant; general information on the condition of the patient will be notified to the family at least once per day.
The notification also recommends setting up a conference room outside the COVID-19 facility with TV and cameras which would allow patients to communicate with their family.
The Authorized Medical Officer is to ensure the proper functioning of the help desk such that each and every call is attended to.
