Bhubaneswar, November 30 (LocalWire) Senior Bharatiya Jananta Party leaders Dilip Roy and Bijoy Mohapatra on Friday resigned from the primary membership of the party after accusing the party of neglecting the state.
Roy who represents Rourkela assembly constituency in Sundergarh district also submitted his resignation from the membership of the assembly. In a statement Roy said he will not contest the upcoming 2019 election.
The resignations came three days after former Indian Administrative Service officer Aparajita Sarangi joined the BJP.
Both Mohapatra and Roy have not announced if they are joining any other party. Mohapatra said they will announce their future course of action soon.
