Rourkela, Nov 27 (LocalWire) Rourkela MLA Dilip Ray may resign from Odisha assembly soon, alleging inordinate delay of the government in implementing two major projects in the district.
Pertinently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the second Brahamani bridge and upgradation of Ispat General Hospital to a super–specialty hospital-cum-medical college on April 1.
Ray has been raising these two issues since the last couple of years and blaming the state government for delay in execution of these two projects.
Talking to media, Ray said he has no other option than to step down from his MLA post.
“It is being told that the execution of these two project is being deliberately delayed on the ground that I, as the MLA of Rourkela, might get the credit for the same,” said Ray.
“If my stepping down will pave the way for completion of these two projects, I prefer to step down in the interest of Rourkela,” he said.
Asked when exactly he is going to tender his resignation, he said, ‘very soon”.
