Bhubaneswar, Nov 2 (LocalWire) In a bid to ease the process of learner’s licence (LL), final driving licence (DL) and vehicle registration, the State Transport Authorities (STA) Odisha has done away with the jurisdictional barriers of Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) for granting licence.
As per the latest circular issued by STA on Friday, jurisdiction embargo on applying LL and DL has been got rid of.
And those applying for driving licences and vehicle registration have been given the liberty of doing it at any of the RTOs in the State.
Earlier there was region-wise restriction on applying for DLs and vehicle registration.
The applicants were earlier eligible to do so only at the RTO where he was a domicile or was doing business.
The region-wise restriction on applying LLs, DLs and vehicle registration has been removed as per the amended Motor Vehicle Act, 2019, the circular said.
