Bhubaneswar, May 31 (Local Wire): State Health Minister Naba Kishore Das today said that the state has adequate supply of PPE kits and doesn’t need new supplies.
This comes after news broke of several trucks carrying PPE consignments for Odisha were found stranded due to the alleged refusal of the state to receive it.
“We have adequate supply of PPE kits now. We had in meeting on May 26 decided not to take new consignments.
They are free to divert it to other states who need it. There is no restriction on then,” Das said.
Around 40 trucks containing the life saving medical equipment were said to be stranded outside the Odisha State Medical Corporation Ltd (OSMCL) for more than eight days, waiting for government approval.
