Jagatsinghpur, June 28 (LocalWire): The district administration is going to launch a first-of-its-kind e-office touch screen kiosk in the collector’s office to make people aware of the status of their applications and the movement of official files, under the 5T programme of the state government.
People would not have to visit government offices for queries relating to services or filing complaints anymore; they would be able to track the movement of their applications and official files without delay at the e-office touch screen or ATM Kiosk.
The machines will be installed at all ATM booths and the first one is to be installed at the collector’s office.
The Collector, Sangram Keshari Mohapatra has informed, “The administration has taken this decision for the convenience of the people.
The ATM kiosk can be used at any time. A person will be able to track his application and file easily using the e-office kiosk.”
Under the 5T programme of the state government, the e-office system was introduced in the collectorate and all the offices of Jagatsinghpur district in order to ensure transparency in administration and save time
The district has implemented the e-office system from the top to the village level.
It has become a model for good governance, near paperless office, digital India and transformation using 5T technology.
Jagatsinghpur has become the first district in India to do so and also bagged the national SKOCH award this year for its e-governance system.
