Kendrapara, April 9 (LocalWire): Election Commission of India appointed three observers to conduct free and fair elections during the Assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Kendrapara district who arrived in Kendrapara on Monday.
Senior IAS officers Santanu Sharma and NB Upadhaya have been appointed as general observers.
Senior IPS officer Vikas Kumar has been appointed as the police observer to look after the law and order situation of the district during elections.
Sharma will control the election process of Salipur, Mahanga, Kendrapara and Aul Assembly seats and Upadhaya of Patkura, Rajnagar and Mahakalapada Assembly seats under the Kendrapara Parliamentary seat.
All the three observers urged the people to contact them whenever they feel it necessary and file complaints against the candidates or officials.
