Kendrapara,March 02 (LocalWire): The district administration of Kendrapara has recently chalked out plans to beautify the surrounding areas of the famous Baladevjew temple at Kendrapara by evicting all the encroachers from the government and temple land.
“The decision was taken after carrying out a land survey around the 400 year old temple. Rs 8.5 crores have been assigned by the government for better conservation and development of the temple”, said Samartha Verma, the collector of Kendrapara.
“Eviction notice has been given to all the encroachers on Saturday. Massive eviction operations will be carried out to remove illegal shop owners along the road near the temple,” said Debaprasad Bal the Executive Officer of Kendrapara municipality.
“People have to face severe traffic problems because of the illegal settlements,” added Bal.
Baladevajew temple was built by the king of Kujang, Raja Gopal Sandha during the Maratha rule in Odisha.
