Berhampur, November 7 (LocalWire): The state energy secretary-cum-commissioner Bishnupada Sethi has expressed his satisfaction at the pace of development work in rural areas of Ganjam district.
“We are satisfied with different projects being undertaken with the convergence of different schemes in the district,” Sethi said on Wednesday, after his day-long visit to different villages in Ganjam.
During his visit, the Energy Secretary, along with the district administration, reviewed various projects.
Sethi also inspected the schools, including Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya near Hinjili, rural electrification under Deen Dayal Upadhaya Grameen Vidyut Jyoti Yojana, and cattle-shed constructed under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Scheme at Kanchuru.
He also inspected different ongoing projects at Hinjili municipality, including the modern fish market, new bus-stand, new hospital building, and the indoor stadium.
Sethi along with district collector Vijay Amruta Kulange and some other officers also had his lunch at the Aahar Center in Hinjili to test the quality of the foods supplied at Rs 5 to the people.
It may be recalled the chief minister Naveen Patnaik had earlier urged his ministers and bureaucrats to take lunch at the Aahar centers during their visits to different districts so that they can test the quality of the food being supplied and report about it.
