Bhubaneswar, May 18 (LocalWire): Subash Chandra Jena, an assistant executive engineer with the BMC has not allowed his kidney-related ailment to deter him from bringing the city back to its spic-and-span days before Fani.
Jena is defying all odds from post-dialysis condition and is working tirelessly looking after the cleaning of green debris, garbage and monitoring sanitation facilities of Ward 30 and 34 of the BMC.
Jena continued his duty from 6.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. and again from 5.00p.m. to 8.00 p.m. monitoring the assigned areas.
He looks after the smooth operations and coordination among other departments.
‘I have had work experience during restoration after the super cyclone and also after Phailin hit the state, so instead of taking leave due to health grounds, I put experience to help the team work out successful operations,’ said Jena.
