Baripada,March 3 (LocalWire): An engineer in Baripada town has been serving different varieties of tea to the residents in an aim to create awareness against the use of plastic.
30-year-old Tapas Ranjan Dharmahapatra holds a bachelor degree in electrical engineering. After serving a private company in Gujarat, he decided to return home to start his own business.
He sets up a tea stall near Satyasai School in the district headquarters town of Mayurbhanj.
His stall sells tea beverage of different flavours such as organic black tea, tandoori tea and dragon tea.
He serves the tea in clay cups and disposable paper cups. He tells his customers why they should say no to plastic.
“I always feel happy when I serve tea in clay cups or disposable paper cups,” Dharmahapatra told LocalWire.
“It is costly for me as I buy it at Rs. 1.30 per piece of clay cup from Kharagpur in West Bengal but it gives me a lot of satisfaction that I am doing something for the society” he added.
