Balasore, October 15 (LocalWire): Authorities at the Fakir Mohan Medical College and Hospital here have issued a standard operating process (SOP), including the Dos and Don’ts for all department heads as well as doctors.
The SOPs were issued in the wake of the possible visit by the state body heading 5-T implementations in different districts anytime within a week.
The directions issued by the medical college superintendent Sudhir Ghosh mainly cover eight aspects, including a ban on private practice by doctors during their duty hours.
The authorities have directed that all attendance and presence in the college and hospital will be through Biometric, and no medicines other than those available in the hospital can be prescribed.
The SOP also directs that all the medicines should be written on the prescription in legible writing and it should have the signature of the doctor. The hospital has also barred doctors from giving prescriptions on papers of any medicine company.
Further, it states that no doctor would meet the representatives of medicine companies during the duty hour in the hospital premises.
