Bhubaneswar, June 19 (LocalWire): The State Higher Education Department has now instructed all state government run colleges to pass the final year students with back papers.
The department has now asked all Vice Chancellors and Principals of colleges for compliance.
The notification said, “Pending back paper examination for final year/final semester UG and PG students shall be cancelled if a student has maximum two back papers,”
It also added, “Instead the University/autonomous college may adopt the proportionate quotient method or any other acceptable method to evaluate the student,”
The department however said that if a student has more than two back papers, he/she has to appear in regular examination in all the back papers as and when it would be conducted.
In the notification the department has also suspended all final year UG and PG examinations except for courses run by departments of the state government other than higher education department.
It has also asked to cancel viva and practical examinations of final year UG and PG students and asked the institutions at best to use post, digital platforms to receive practical records if needed.
