Kendrapara, Jan 30 (LocalWire):A flex maker in Kendrapara has lodged an FIR against actor-turned Kendrapara MP Anubhav Mohanty on Thursday in Kendrapara Sadar over non-payment of dues amounting to Rs 11 Lakh.
Srutiranjan Swain, the owner of Baladevjew Ad-media of Garapur village, has filed an FIR against Anubhava Mohanty and alleged that he had supplied flex banners to BJD candidate Anubhava Mohanty worth Rs 32. 56 Lakhs during the election and received only Rs 20.55 Lakh from Mohanty a few months back.
Later, Mohanty paid back Rs. 55,000 more. However, the rest of the money amounting to Rs 11.45 Lakhs have not yet been paid by Mohanty till date after hundreds of promises to Swain.
When contacted, Pramod Mallick, the IIC of Kendrapara Sadar police station, only told the LocalWire team that they are still investigating the case. Further information is awaited.
It may be noted that back in 2019, the police had filed a case against Mohanty under sections- 341, 323, 294 and 506 of Indian Penal Code for abusing a journalist of a private TV channel at Kendrapara during an interview.
Mohanty was elected to the Lok Sabha from Kendrapara after defeating the BJP national Vice-President Baijayant Panda.
