Cuttack, Sept 21 (LocalWire): The state government ordered a probe after a fire broke out at a COVID hospital in Cuttack on Monday.
A short circuit in an ICU on the ground flood of Sadguru COVID hospital in Jagatpur area of Cuttack may have been responsible for the fire, officials said.
No casualties were reported and the patients are being shifted to other COVID facilities via ambulances and buses, an official said.
Although the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, officials are saying that a short circuit in the ICU may have caused the fire.
More than 100 patients were shifted to other hospitals amidst the chaos.
The Sadguru COVID hospital began functioning a month ago with 150 general beds and 24 ICU beds.
The Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC-Central Range) Anil Samal has ordered a probe into the mishap.
