Paradip, July 24 (LocalWire): The first goods train from Haridaspur to the port town of Paradip, covering Jajpur, Kendrapada and Jagatsinghpur districts rolled out today.
The train will cover an 82-kilometre long route.
During the journey, an expert team led by Chief Safety Officer Sailendra Kapil verified and examined the railway line.
It may be recalled that last week, Jagatsinghpur Collector Sangram Keshari Mohapatra had informed about the plying of goods trains on the Paradip-Haridaspur railway line by August, 2020.
This train started from Haridaspur yesterday at 10.13 am and reached Paradip today after examining the newly constructed railway line.
