Bhadrak, July 26 (LocalWire): A group of sea-faring fishermen stumbled upon a prized catch while fishing along the Dhamra coast in Bhadrak district. They caught a 1.5 quintal gigantic fish.
The sea fish locally called ‘ghol’ (scientific name Black-spotted Croaker) fetched them Rs 32,000.
The fish was sold to a local seafood wholesale trader.
The ghol fish is a rare marine species which is much in demand for its medicinal value. It is used to refine raw wine, according to marine fisheries officials.
