Now, besides binging on yummy Odia food across the state, the duo is also spreading awareness about different cuisine via their ‘Foodies of Bhubaneswar’ page on social media so that more and more people can get a flavour of these traditional dishes.
In an exclusive interview with LocalWire, Odisha’s leading entrepreneurial venture ‘Foodies of Bhubaneswar’ spilled the beans about their success on social media platforms.
‘Foodies of Bhubaneswar’ also known as FOB, currently has more than 47K followers on Instagram and 14k likes on Facebook.
“What started as a passion for food during engineering, now covers stories on local food, home chefs and Odia food culture. FOB often promotes Odisha’s unique food recipes and explores new restaurants in town,” said Abhijeet.
“Being the pioneer of food-blogging community in Bhubaneswar, FOB has initiated and popularized the concept of ‘Food Bloggers’ Meet up’, where experienced food bloggers share ideas and review a restaurant based on its service, food quality and ambience,” explained Asutosh.
Food bloggers and recipe developers of Odisha having world-class content are now getting much-needed recognition on social media through such meetups, Asutosh added.
Apart from more than 5 successful meetups at top-rated restaurants in Bhubaneswar, FOB also has been a part of many social activities in association with NGOs such as Robin Hood Army and Yuva Utkala.
“We have also collaborated with brands like KFC, Lipton, Biggies andTrue Elements,” Abhijeet informed.
“The food bloggers’ community in Bhubaneswar is like a family,” said Asutosh.
