Bhubaneswar, December 24 (LocalWire): Four persons of a family, including three women, were killed and at least five others seriously injured when a private passenger bus collided head-on with an SUV near Gurundi chowk on the National Highway-55 in Angul district during wee hours on Tuesday.
Those killed and injured were traveling in an SUV from Raipur in Chhattishgarh and were on their way to Puri when the speeding bus rammed into their ill-fated vehicle.
The health condition of all the five persons is stated to be critical and four of them have been shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
The drivers of either of the vehicles might have possibly dozed off leading to the mishap. Low visibility due to early morning fog also might have led to the fatal collision, the police said.
