Bolangir, Sept 24 (LocalWire): A free cardiac-screening camp for children was held under the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karayakrama at District Early Intervention Centre here today.
Cardiologist Dr Pankaj Gupta and his team from Narayan Hrudalaya Multi Specialty Hospital Jamshedpur, carried out the check-up with Eco and other tests on 104 children from Bolangir and Sonepur districts.
Every year two mobile health care teams check the health of children from Angawanwadi centres and in schools and in case of any doubt they are recommended to the District Early Intervention Center here.
After a thorough examination by doctors, further steps are recommended and children are sent to empanelled hospitals for treatment.
A few months ago children were treated for free at a hospital in Ahmedabad, district RBSK manager, Krushna Chandra Pradhan said.
