Bhubaneswar, April 27 (LocalWire): Chief Electoral Officer Surendra Kumar on Saturday ordered re-polling in 12 booths due to EVM glitches and other issues in the third phase on April 23.
Re-polling will be held at booth numbers 62 in Bramhagiri, 196 in Baramba AC, 183 in Deogarh AC, 222 in Bramhagiri, 78 in Satyabadi, 85 in Talcher, 90 in Athagarh, 100, 137 and 138 in Athagarh AC, 127 in Bhubaneswar Central AC and 171 in Ghasipura.
The returning officer said each booth had different problems. While there was a human error at booth number 62, there were problems of miss-pairing EVMs, VVPATs and technical glitches at other booths.
He added that the Election Commission will propose a new date for re-polling after the final phase on April 29.
