Bhubaneswar, May 31 (Local Wire): Ganjam district of Odisha has now become the first district from the state to report cases of Coronavirus beyond 400.
According to the latest update available with the government, the district has till now reported a total of 404 cases.
The huge surge of cases of Coronavirus could be attributed to the huge backflow of migrants coming from Coronavirus hotspot cities and states of the country.
Data claimed that out of the 404 cases reported till now in the district, a total of 318 have also recovered till now while 83 cases are active cases of the disease.
The district also reported the highest of three Coronavirus deaths.
The district till April end did not have a single case of the disease.
However from May 3 when partial lockdown relaxation was announced and inter-state movement of stranded migrants were allowed the cases started surging and now Ganjam became the host of largest reported cases of the disease.
