Bhubaneswar, July 2 (LocalWire): The Ganjam district administration today announced banning vehicular movement in their district except for essential service providers.
The decisions came to force after the State government empowered the Collectors to enforce strict norms if needed, to curb the cases of Coronavirus in hotspot districts.
“Except agriculture, goods and health purposes , all vehicle movement is banned in Ganjam from 1st July. Please cooperate.
All are requested not to leave their place and not to travel more than 1 km.
Senior citizens must stay at home,” said a statement from the Ganjam district administration.
It also added, “No vehicles please till 31 July.
Please don’t travel if there is any emergency.
Stay at home or at your workplace only. Avoid outside food as there are chances of social distancing violations.
Don’t put your life in risk. Also it will create problems for your old age parents,”
It also added that two wheelers are allowed with an authentic identity card.
