Bhubaneswar, May 11 (Local Wire): The state government on Monday said that Coronavirus patients with no symptoms (asymptomatic) can now stay at home quarantine after submission of an undertaking.
“Asymptomatic patients can now stay at home quarantine after submission of a consent letter stating that they have toilet and a room to undertake home isolation,” Additional Chief Secretary Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra said.
He also said that this comes after the new guidelines of the Central government which allowed home quarantine for asymptomatic cases.
The official however said that the state government will allow this in urban areas only.
The government also said that for home quarantines stamping on hands and giving a band of quarantine will be given in addition to pasting of quarantine stickers outside the house of the patients.
The government meanwhile also allowed home quarantine for Coronavirus patients living in quarantine centres after their test reports come negative.
Moreover during the treatment, a person with no symptom for three days can also now be discharged.
