Bhubaneswar, May 8 (Local Wire): The state government on Friday said that it has decided to allow wage based works for some period for the interested inmates of the quarantine centres.
“Inmates in quarantine centres can now do gardening, take care of the plants nearby and also do wall paintings and other works.
They can be paid Rs 150 per day as wages for 10 days during their stay at the centres,” Subroto Bagchi, Chief Spokesperson of the government on Coronavirus said.
He also clarified that these wages will be in addition to the Rs 2000 that the inmates will get after completion of their quarantine period.
The government also allowed the inmates to do cooking and other activities.
On the other side, the government said that TV sets, other recreational programmes and activities are been provided to the inmates during their quarantine period at such centres.
