Bhubaneswar, Mar 25 (Local Wire): The state government on Wednesday announced incentives for the drug and medical equipment suppliers who can supply their items timely to the hospitals in the state.
Chief Spokeserson of the state government on Coronavirus Subroto Bagchi told reporters that those firms which can supply their items timely will be given 50 per cent more than their price by the government as incentive.
Bagchi also said that under the incentive scheme, the drug and medical equipment suppliers will get their payments within 24 hours of their delivery.
Bagchi said that the decision was taken by Odisha State Medical Corporation to incentivize the drug suppliers during the crucial time to the health centres across the state.
“Odisha State Medical Corporation has declared incentive for early delivery of medicines and medical equipment like 50% extra for delivery in 7 days, 25% extra for delivery in 15 days and 10% extra for delivery in 30 days.
Full cost of tansportation along with full payment within 24 hours of delivery has been assured,” he said.
He also said that the state has registered data of 78,233 persons entering into the state from other states in the recent few weeks.
The official said that self isolation should be ensured for all of them as cases of Coronavirus among them could not be ruled out.
Bagchi said that the Gram Panchayat officials have been mandated to ensure their self isolation for 14 days as a precautionary measure.
The official also said that close to 1 lakh people have submitted videos to the CM of Odisha showing their support towards the fight against Coronavirus after CM Naveen Patnaik appealed for a United fight by the citizens.
