Bhubaneswar, July 23 (LocalWire): The Odisha government today approved home isolation for Coronavirus patients in rural areas in case of asymptomatic and mild cases.
A notification was today released by the office of the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) into this regard.
The latest notification amended the earlier guidelines for home isolation of such patients and extended the services to even rural areas.
Earlier home isolation was confined to urban areas only.
Only those persons can avail the services who are asymptomatic/ have mild symptoms and have no co-morbidities.
The notification said that the Sarpanch(es) of Gram Panchayats or any other officer notified by the Collector of the respective districts shall be the Nodal Officer for this purpose.
