Bhubaneswar, Sept 26 (LocalWire): Odisha government today approved investment proposals worth Rs 2435.57 crores under the single window clearance system that is likely to generate employment opportunities for over 5000 people.
In a state-level single window clearance authority meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy at the Lokaseva Bhawan, investment proposals likely to generate employment avenues for nearly 5,432 workforce, both in the skilled and unskilled categories, were approved, senior government officials said.
The government agencies and line departments were asked to assess requirement of land and water for these industrial units, they said.
The proposals approved in SLSWCA were from different sectors like food processing, chemicals, metal, infrastructure, power, renewable energy and downstream industries.
To work out a model benchmark, the concerned departments were asked to do the needful for the land required for the upcoming industries in consultation with technical experts, the officials added.
The single window clearance system is a facilitation mechanism for investors that is being effectively implemented in Odisha to create investment-friendly ecosystem in the coastal state.
