Bhubaneswar, May 5 (Local Wire): Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Jena on Tuesday announced several relaxations on the movement of workers in the state citing the urgent need to assist the state economy.
He said that buses can now move from two Green Zone districts without any hassle.
He also said that employers who want to bring their workers to the place of the work can do so by getting nod from the Collector.
The government meanwhile also allowed movement of stranded workers from other states back to their state from Odisha and also approved import of skilled workers to Odisha for certain enterprises but with the mutual agreement of the two states involved.
“In view of restriction imposed from 7PM to 7AM, the owners, contractors and others engaging the workers are ordered to relieve the workers before 6PM so that they can return to their home in time,” a statement from the government said.
