Bhubaneswar, Aug 19 (LocalWire): The state government has now started training the managers of 40 popular eco tourism sites to make them ready for opening up.
The Odisha Tourism and the State Forest Department have now joined hands to train the management of these sites on hygiene and better hospitality skills.
We have started the training of the managers of our ecotourism sites and the community members on the best practices in managing Coronavirus threat.
The aim is to prepare them for during and post Coronavirus era to ensure a safe ecotourism experience,” PCCF (Wildlife), HS Upadhay said.
“We are following a multidimensional approach, our primary objective is to restrict further transmission of Coronavirus when our Nature Camps open and on the other way there will be excellent service to visitors visiting our destinations,” he added.
Odisha Tourism Director Sachin R Jadhav said that the department has aimed to train close to 600 community leaders from 40 identified ecotourism sites of Odisha.
He said that the services of IHM and IITTM are being roped in to boost the hospitality skills as well as boost hygienic practices.
