Bhubaneswar, June 8 (LocalWire): The state government has now decided that the stranded Odias in areas not accessible by trains and buses could be evacuated by air to bring them back to their home state.
It said that the experiment has already started and will continue.
Close to 350 migrants from Odisha stranded in Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh were brought by three Air Asia Flights to Bhubaneswar yesterday.
Another flight with stranded migrants will be brought from Andaman and Nicobar Islands today.
The state has already evacuated more than 280 migrant workers from Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Meghalaya and Assam earlier.
The mission will continue till all migrant workers safely return to the State, the government said.
The state said that it has been coordinating with other states to bring back the stranded Odias from other regions back to their .
