Bhubaneswar, April 17 (Local Wire): The state government has now decided to go for large scale testing of COVID 19 in Bhubaneswar starting from Friday.
State Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy in a press briefing told reporters that the state will embark on their massive testing in Bhubaneswar from Friday.
He said that besides conducting random testing, people living in slums, health workers and people who had recent travel history will be put under testing.
The government will install fixed testing centres besides mobile centres to test more people from the state capital which has reported the highest number of cases.
“This will be the first such large scale testing in any city in the country.
We will be testing 5000 samples from the city,” Tripathy said.
