Bhubaneswar, May 16 (Local Wire): The State government on Saturday said that the health setups in the cyclone prone areas now all set to tackle the cyclone related health issues.
Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra, Additional Chief Secretary of Health department said that the health setups in areas prone to the upcoming cyclone has been readied.
“The cyclone is not going to have much impact on Odisha. Mainly four districts are likely to get affected by the cyclone.
These include-Balasore, Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur and Kendrapara.
The local administration has been directly to shift the quarantine inmates in such quarantine centres which are within 3 kms from the coastline,” he said.
He also added, “We have a standard protocol to deal with such situations like availability of diesel, generator and adequate medicines which will be looked into. Anti-snake venom will also be made to the health centres besides bleaching powder and other items.”
