Bhubaneswar, April 16 (LocalWire): The meteorological department recorded intense heat wave that would continue for some days. The temperature rose above 40 degrees Celsius at 12 places in the state on Tuesday.
The highest temperature was recorded in the city of Talcher at 43.8 degrees Celsius while Angul sizzled at 43.7 degrees Celsius.
The coastal areas of the state, however, experienced a slight respite.
The maximum day temperature recorded at Titlagarh was 43 degrees Celsius, Jharsuguda 42.1, Sambalpur 41.1, Chandbali 39.6 and Keonjhar 40.1.
