Bhubaneswar, Oct 8 (LocalWire) Local weather office on Tuesday issued a warning of heavy rainfall in parts of Odisha due to formation of two cyclonic circulation over interior belt.
Heavy rainfall has been predicted for Boudh, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, Malkangiri and Keonjhar, an official of the Indian Meteorological centre, Bhubaneswar said.
Thunderstorm and lightning activity have also been predicted for some districts,” he said.
Such activities are likely occur at some places of the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Angul, Nayagarh, Khurda, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Keonjhar, Malkangiri and Koraput.
High temperature and humidity could be the reasons, he added.
However, no warning for fishermen has been issued as the intensity of the wind over the sea will be just around 10 knots, he added.
In the past 24 hours, the twin cities Cuttack and Bhubaneswar had recorded temperature around 35 degrees Celsius and it is likely to be around 34 degrees Celsius during the next 24 hours.
