Bhubaneswar, July 30 (LocalWire): Shalini Pandit, Mission Director (MD) of National Health Mission (NHM) today said that most of the Corona cases in Odisha were detected among the youths.
She cited data of the viral disease and claimed that close to 64 per cent of the Corona patients in the state belonged to the age group of 0-40 years.
She said that elder Coronavirus patients were the least in the state.
She said that a total of 29 per cent of cases were reported from the age group of 41-60 years while merely 7 per cent cases were reported from the patients aged above 60 years.
The official also said that the positivity rate of the disease in Ganjam district has declined in the past few days while adequate arrangements have been done in the hotspot district for Corona management.
The government official also claimed that till now 28 Coronavirus cured persons have donated plasma which were used in 33 patients.
“One donation can be used for more than one patients.
23 patients have been cured after the plasma therapy and eight have been discharged too,” she said.
