Sambalpur, Nov 26 (LocalWire): Residents of Hirakud township were thrilled to have an aerial view of the sprawling reservoir and scenic beauty of the surrounding greenery with the ropeway connecting Jawahar Udyan with Gandhi Minar being thrown open today.
The 425-metre-ropeway has eight cabins with a capacity of four passengers. The estimated cost of the project is worth Rs 9.25 crores.
Under the stewardship of state-run Odisha Construction Corporation, Kolkata-based firm Damodar Ropeways and Infra Limited executed the project in three years.
