Balasore, Nov 22 (LocalWire): Passengers of Howrah-Yaswantpur superfast express had a providential escape after the train rammed into concrete slippers causing damage to the engine.
The slippers were being shifted by the workers when they left them in the tracks in a hurry when they saw the train approaching.
However, no casualty or injuries to passengers was reported.
The mishap occurred at around 2.00 p.m. and the train was held up at Rupsa station as the engine has to be replaced.
The station manager said, ‘I am on the job to set things right but I am unable to say when things will be normal.’
