Bhubaneswar, Dec 17 (LocalWire): Infosys Development Centre, Bhubaneswar, received the Odisha State Energy Conservation Award (OSECA) for the 5th time in a row, for taking effective measures to conserve energy.
The team was awarded by Energy and Industries minister Dibya Shankar Mishra and energy secretary Bishnupada Sethi on the occasion of Energy Conservation Day recently at Jayadev Bhawan, Bhubaneswar.
Infosys has contributed in the area of energy efficiency by constructing the Software Technology Park of India campus and the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Platinum building.
These are recognized by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) which is awarded to highly energy-efficient buildings.
Infosys constructed these buildings with a holistic approach to sustainability, concentrating on areas such as water efficiency, rainwater harvesting, energy efficiency, better indoor air quality and efficient HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning) designs.
