Jagatsinghpur July 3 (localWire): Health department on Wednesday terminated the services of 15 security personnel of Bharat Security Agency for storing liquor in the security guard room situated near the diarrhoea ward of the district headquarter hospital, Jagatsinghpur.
Local police had seized seven bottles of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from the security guard room last Sunday.
This was the first time that police confiscated liquor from the hospital campus.
The manager of the hospital had lodged a complaint at the local police station.
Health minister Naba Das had directed the chief district medical officer (CDMO) to conduct an inquiry and had asked him to submit a detailed report within three days.
CDMO Ajay Kumar Baitharu said ‘During the investigation, it was found that security personnel kept the liquor bottles in the guard room”
Similarly, we have also cancelled the contract with this security agency.’
