Bhubaneswar, June 21 (LocalWire): To mark the fifth International yoga day a number of events were organized across the state.
People woke up early on friday morning and dressed in white T-shirt and trouser, stretched themselves in various posture at Yoga events held in Odisha.
Governor, Professor Ganeshi Lal, participated in an event at Janta Maidan here in the morning.
Several people gathered, including children and politicians took part in the massive event,here and performed asanas under the supervision of yoga gurus and teachers from a local institution.
Sudarsan Patnaik created a sand sculpture to mark International Yoga Day today at Puri beach.
Patnaik posted a picture of his sand mural on Twitter where he sculpted a person meditating under a tree along with various other Yoga postures inscribed with ‘Surya Namaskar’.
