Paradip, October 26 (LocalWire): A truck carrying polymer plastic caught fire while loading cargo at the IOCL’s Paradip Refinery on Saturday.
No causality was reported as the fire-fighters personnel quickly doused the fire, sources said.
Reports indicate that the truck which was pressed into service for loading cargo polymer plastics for transportation from Paradip Refinery suddenly started emitting smoke and flame from its cabin.
IOCL fire brigadiers and local firemen who rushed to the site were able to immediately put out the blaze allowing safe passage to other motorists.
Some of the truck’s cargo polymer was damaged by the fire but the extent of the damage is yet to be ascertained.
However, Abhaychandpur police station inspector-in-charge Jugal Kishore Das informed that the IOCL officials have not yet reported about the fire.
