Berhampur, Nov 17 (LocalWire) The Berhampur University authorities have cancelled the Disciplinary Specific Elective (DSE) (History) Paper-II Examination of Plus III Arts (fifth semester) held on Saturday and rescheduled it for November 23, official sources said here today.
The University had conducted the DSE (History) Paper-11 Examination on Saturday. However, while serving the question papers, the students were instead given DSE (History) Paper-I which was already over.
After being informed about the goof-up, the authorities cancelled the examination, sources said.
“We came to known that the question paper set was changed. Instead of giving DSE (History) Paper-II, DSE (History) Paper-1 was served to the students.
We have cancelled the DSE (History) Paper-11 Examination” said university’s controller of examinations Surendra Nath Sethi.
About 30,000 students of affiliated colleges spread over seven southern Odisha districts – Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal,Koraput, Malkanagiri,Nabarangapur and Rayagada are appearing the ongoing Plus 111 (Arts) (fifth semester) examination.
“We will conduct an inquiry into the matter and punish the guilty. Our aim is to make the examination error-free”, Sethi said.
